Hi,
I have had a passing interest in getting my license for many
years. I have now decided to look into it and get the license, when
I was much younger you had to learn code, it it still a requirement?
Also, I'm interested in getting a rating that would allow me to
talk over a band on a handheld that I could carry into the mountains.
What are your suggestions.
If needed, what's the best and fastest way to learn code?
please reply via email...

Are you planning any ATV or SSTV operations? Just curious. :-)
Maybe we need a new Q-signal...QND...operating nude! :-) :-)

The Newark Extras from Rural Delaware State, or N.E.R.D.S., will be holding
a 5 watt QRP battery power operation on Field Day from Iron Hill Park,
New Castle County, Delaware. We will be on HF, packet and satellite.
Not to mention on top of a large magnetic iron mountain under a metal
roof during expected thunderstorms.
Please listen for WN3K and try to work us. Thanks.
